Thank you for your patience and understanding as we shifted our traditional programming to keep our community healthy during the Covid-19 Pandemic. As of Spring 2022, we are rolling out our in person programming and events again, with the following modifications:

Earn-A-Bike Program (Online)

Our Earn a Bike class is now being offered as an online course. This enables youth to complete the necessary course work to earn their bike, helmet, and lock at a pace that is more conducive to individual learning styles, busy schedules, and transportation logistics . Since 2000, Trips For Kids Charlotte has provided transformative cycling experiences for underserved youth. We operate through three main programs our Earn-A-Bike Program, Ride Program and our Community Bike Shop, the Charlotte Re-Cyclery.

Earn-a-Bike
Youth complete a course on safety, bicycle operation and hands-on maintenance. At the end of the program youth take home a bike, lock, set of light, a helmet and the knowledge to ride with confidence.
ride program
This program engages youth with nature and mountain biking. This program teaches respect, riding as a group and overcoming obstacles by pedaling forward.
Wrench & Ride
Our Wrench and Ride program provides a safe and supportive space for womxn to discover and grow skills and relationships through bicycles.
