The Re-Cyclery provides a place where dusty not rusty donated,
used bicycles are repaired to become safe,
rideable bikes. The bikes not used in the Earn-A-Bike
Program are sold to the public at reasonable prices to provide
income for all TFKC programs. The Re-Cyclery has
bicycle tools, workbenches and stands, recycled
and new parts, and an experienced staff coordinator
to supervise and review work. The
Re-Cyclery and its volunteers work to support the
TFKC programs and to keep bicycles out of
landfills by reintroducing the used bikes into the
community. These environmental and health
benefits are part of the goals of Trips for Kids Charlotte.
